Herpetofauna del Parque Nacional Laguna del Tigre
La herpetofauna del Parque Nacional Laguna del Tigre es una auténtica joya de biodiversidad, enriquecida por su ubicación privilegiada, que abarca desde bosques primarios y secundarios hasta sabanas y humedales de agua dulce. Estos diversos hábitats crean las condiciones perfectas para sostener una notable diversidad de reptiles y anfibios. Gracias al constante monitoreo biológico realizado por la Estación Biológica Las Guacamayas, el registro de especies en el parque se actualiza de manera continua, con nuevas especies identificadas con regularidad.
La singularidad de estos entornos convierte a la Estación Biológica Las Guacamayas en un verdadero santuario para la conservación de la vida silvestre dentro de esta zona núcleo de la Reserva de la Biosfera Maya. La estación desempeña un papel crucial en la preservación de estos ecosistemas en su estado natural. En colaboración con el Consejo Nacional de Áreas Protegidas (CONAP), trabajamos incansablemente para proteger estos hábitats, asegurando su conservación para el disfrute y estudio de las futuras generaciones.
